Sunshine and Adventure Begins

Hello everyone , Many exciting things to report.
We have been having some very interesting and enjoyable sailing lately ...with a few more learning curves thrown in here and there. The weather has finally been perfect, it almost seems as summer has arrived already....a very odd thing for oregon! I turned 32 on the 21st of May in the most fabulous way. Cathy and I sailed up to Government Island ....well motored most of the way thanks to lack of wind. We explored the new docks just completed on the island, frolicked in the tall grass and enjoyed the sunshine . And after having the most perfect picnic we decided to head up to the old dock (Bartlett Landing). Here it felt as though we had the entire island to ourselves. It was amazing to notice the lack of beach! The river has risen so much since our last visit ...Lots of snowmelt coming down out of the mountains. The next morning we took the dingy for a spin up to the east end of the island and spotted tons of Great Blue Herons and Osprey and several Bald eagles. All in All it was the best birthday that I have ever had thanks to Cathy , the River and Minor Key . Thank You Nice Universe for Blessing us and all of our journeys. Enjoy all of the photos and Keep a Keen eye out for upcoming posts and for our benefit concert coming up in July. We are looking for some lovely people to play some lovely music at our sailing benefit. Feel free to contact us through email or phone , and of course we are accepting any type of contribution to help this epic expedition become reality . Be Well All and thanks for being you! Michael Signing off ...over and out.
