Hello All, Its been quite a week , The weather has really been changing . It is always these
seasonal changes that bring on a bit of self reflection on what I m doing in my life. It has been a
assuring fall and one that has reminded me that I am doing what I am supposed to be doing. The feeling really bubbled back to the surface during a very lively sail two days ago . The sky had cleared of its clouds a bit and the wind really piped up , putting us on a real nice run up river . It was then that I noticed up ahead another Cascade 29 , same vintage as mine , they were running as well . We followed behind as I had reefed the mainsail already.Soon they came about and started to go to weather , heeling about 15 to 20 degrees. It is a rare experience for me to actually see my own boat sailing from a distance , and this was as close as I had ever come . A
calming and reassurance came over me as I admired her lines and noticed her stoutness. I felt safe and secure and quite happy that I have chosen such an epic craft to sail the wild and untamed blue lifeblood of this planet!
Aside from sailing I have been doing well and keeping busy working at my 'real' job and
riding quite a bit ....actually everyday 20 miles , keeping me as healthy as possible. I have been
trying to source a new or used mainsail ...mine is getting pretty worn , its almost 37 years old,
but it still moves her . I would fully appreciate any feedback anyone has and of course and contribution to the campaign is welcome ...still have long way to go . So thank you all for our time in reading this and for any support . And please send as much good energy to the people on the Baja coast they are being hit really hard right now by a mighty hurricane ....pray for them.
Be Well Sea of Cortez and all living in Baja california.
